It is in times like these that I feel I have no right to complain that there is no good shows on network TV. Inundated with reality competition shows like Are you Stupider than a 5th grader? and Dancing with the Stars (don’t even get me started on Wife Swap), its a wonder how Hollywood barely survived the programming hump from the Writer’s Guild Strike. Shows with wit, irreverence and intelligently crafted characters are few and far between, and rarely seep through the harsh censorship of mainstream networks.
